Manganese Green Sand is formulated from a glauconitic green sand which is capable of reducing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide from water through oxidation and filtration.

 

Soluble iron and manganese are oxidized and precipitated by contact with higher oxides of manganese on the green sand granules. The hydrogen sulfide is reduced Py oxidation to an insoluble sulfur precipitate. Precipitates are then filtered and removed by backwashing.

PURE PMB101-2 (3:2) is a high capacity mixed bed ion exchange resin consisting of a mixture of a gel, Type I strong base anion resin and a gel strong acid cation resin for direct purification of water. The conductivity is around 0.1 us/cm.
